The Cock-Up Elastic Wrist Brace is made from soft, lightweight, breathable, four-way stretch elastic. There is a Velcro support strap sewn into brace at the wrist, which aids in the mobilization and correct positioning of the wrist. In addition to mobilizing the wrist our unique four-way stretch elastic provides gentle compression to the wrist, which may help reduce swelling and can help soothe away arthritis pain. There is a metal stay in the palm that holds the wrist in the "cock-up"position. The palmer stay is bent at a recommended 30° angle which is believed to help open the carpal tunnel and thus reduce pressure on the carpal nerve. Cock-up wrist splints are sometimes recommended by health care professionals for carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, wrist sprains, post-casting, postoperative, protection during activity, wrist instability, and support for sore wrists.
